Child Care Centre in Hurstbridge
31 March 2008 “The Rudd Labour Government will be honouring our election commitments, including the commitment to support the establishment of a child care centre in Hurstbridge”, Jenny Macklin, Federal Member for Jagajaga, said today. Maxine McKew, Parliamentary Secretary for Early Childhood Education and Child Care has written to States and Territories to commence discussions about potential sites for the first allocation of childcare centres. This is in line with the Rudd Government’s commitment to support centres on school, TAFE, university and community sites wherever possible. Further details on the implementation of this commitment are subject to the Federal budget process. |
