Jenny Macklin announces Families Week Photographic Competition!
3 April 2008 Jenny Macklin MP, Federal Member for Jagajaga, today invited local students to get out their cameras and participate in her Families week photographic competition. National Families week will be celebrated over the week of 11 – 17 May 2008.
To help mark this event, Ms Macklin is inviting local students to participate in a photographic competition centred on the theme of families.
“Our local area has a very strong sense of community and family involvement”, Ms Macklin said.
“It will be wonderful to showcase the depth and breadth of our local familles through this photographic competition.
“Photos submitted will be displayed in my office window in Burgundy Street, Heidelberg.
The family photo needs to have been taken by the student, and should have the theme of an important family activity, whether it is having dinner together, going to the footy, a picnic, or family celebrations. In essence, the photo needs to show what helps bring their family together.
Photos should not be bigger than 20cm x 20cm and will need to have the student’s name, class, age and contact number on the back of the image.
The winning photo will receive a $30 voucher from Photo Color – Kodak Express in Heidelberg and will be announced at the end of Families Week.
Entries close 5pm Friday 9 May 2008 and can be mailed to PO Box 316 Heidelberg 3084, or emailed to jmacklin.mp@aph.gov.au.
