Jenny Macklin welcomes Melbourne City Mission’s decision to keep the Eltham Retirement Centre
14 August 2008 Jenny Macklin today welcomed the decision by Melbourne City Mission to terminate the sale of the Eltham Retirement Centre in Eltham. ‘I agree with Melbourne City Mission that the uncertainty of the past eight months has been difficult for residents and staff’ Ms Macklin said.
‘I’m sure this decision will be a great relief for all those involved with the Eltham Retirement Centre,
‘I look forward to learning more about Melbourne City Mission’s plans to redevelop the site, which I understand will reinvigorate the village feel of the retirement centre.’
