Federal Member for Jagajaga, Jenny Macklin MP is inviting local seniors along to a free              Seniors’ Safety Forum to receive an update on ways to increase their personal security.

“Personal security is an incredibly important issue for seniors, both at home and when out in the wider community,” Ms Macklin said.

“As times change, the types of threats to seniors’ safety and security are also changing.

“This includes new forms of financial scams, as well as aggressive door-to-door sales tactics that target seniors,”

“It is vital that local residents are kept informed of how to stay alert and safe at all times,”

“A representative of the Victoria Police Crime Prevention Office will be providing information on how seniors can maximise their safety and security across a range of ordinary everyday settings.” Ms Macklin said.
