Online Support for Families at Simpson Barracks
9 February 2010 Jenny Macklin MP has announced that Defence families based at Simpson Barracks, Watsonia will benefit from an additional $1,700 Defence Family Support Funding Program seeding grant. The funding will help deliver a new website to provide online information about the programs and services of the Mactier Community Centre, as well as the purchase of a fridge/freezer.
The Mactier Community Centre is located at Simpson Barracks and is the main community support facility for Defence families residing near the Base.
Ms Macklin said the grant will assist the local Defence community, through the Mactier Community Centre, with “one-off” costs associated with their website project.
